In the project regarding tigers or wild animals living in this
monastery
Since in 1999 at Wat Pa Luangta
Bua Yannasampanno Forest Monastery ( Tiger Temple ) ,
Villagers had taken injured tigers and the orphans to the monastery
for tending. Out of compassion, Pra Acharn Phusit (Chan)
Kantitharo (The Abbot) has taken care of them until
they grow up and have their own cubs. As a result, there is project
on "the New-Home for Tigers" in 2004,
so that the tigers living in this monastery can live freely.
In addition, it will serve as a place to rehabilitate new cubs
for returning back to the forest.
Thus, for the accomplishment of this project and for academic
benefit to the study of tigers and wild animals, the Foundation
gives research funds, emphasizing on the study as follows:
- To conduct research on the species of tigers or wild animals
living in this monastery
- To conduct research in preparation for freeing tigers back
to the forest
- To conduct research for being the model of rescue and conservation
of tigers or wild animals.
Qualifications of applicants : application
must be made in the name of an institution making research regarding
wild animals and environments, with research capabilities in the
project, can perform the work throughout the period of fund receiving.
In this regard, the research must be conducted by the research
team. There must be 1 project manager to supervise the research.
Amount of funds
The foundation will grant funds according to the suitability
of the project.

The research team must present the research project, with the
content as follows.
- Project name
- Name list of project manager, project participants, and organization
- Principles and reasons
- Objectives and prospect benefits
- Action plan (specify in details)
- Budget
- Research time
